Sudden Impact Paddling Club is proud to announce its partnership with Creative Centre Society, a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitation and recovery programs and services to adults who have mental illness. Our partnership has made possible the the purchase of a Bradley Lightening OC 6 which will be used by both our groups. Training and instruction in OC 6 technique and use will begin in June and Creative Centre Society has already set up two practice times, June 11th and June 18th. Sudden Impact Paddling Club will also host our partners in an evening of dragon boating on Thurs July 6th when they’ll jump in with S.I. Black for a practice and BBQ to follow.

Special interest groups have been a part of dragon boating as has been seen at events like Alcan, where participation of breast cancer survivor teams, blind teams, organ donor and MS teams have added to the excitment of the event. SIPC believes that sport is for everyone and is pleased to lend their expertise to the newest member of the SI family, Creative Centre Society!
